Vision

The Paralympic slogan “Spirit in Motion” stands for the top performances of Paralympic athletes which can only be achieved through will power, motivation and complete concentration on the most important event in the handicapped sport, the Paralympics.

Ability

Overcoming your own personal limits is the motivation for every top athlete with or without disabilities in training, competition and everyday life. The Austrian Paralympic Committee overcomes limits by working on the equality of disabled sports with non-disabled sports. Access to professional sport must be the same for top athletes with or without disabilities.

Challenge

Participation in the Paralympics is a challenge for every top athlete. The challenge for the Austrian Paralympic Comittee is to finance and organise the delegations’ participation.

Success

The greatest success and highlight of all athletes’ sporting careers is winning a medal at the Paralympics under the motto “Winning knows no handicap”. These successes are in line with the successes of the Austrian Paralympic Committee, because together they increase the acceptance of disabled sports in society.

Goals & Responsibilities

The Austrian Paralympic Committee is one of over 200 National Paralympic Committees. The tasks and goals of the OEPC go far beyond the organization, financing and posting of Austrian delegation to the Paralympic Games. They are based on three pillars: core competence, awareness raising and advocacy.
